Mike Anderson Photography

I began my study of photography at age fifteen while certifying as a Los Angeles County/NAUI diver.  I wanted to chronicle my diving adventures to show family and friends what I loved about the ocean and its creatures.

Fortunately, the big kid on the block was Gary Felton, a certified SCUBA instructor and award winning underwater photographer. The quality and excellence of his photography was both an inspiration and a standard I set for myself.

I earned an associate of arts degree from Orange Coast College in photography  then graduated from Cal State University at Fullerton.  

I have published articles in Sail magazine, Sailing, Woodenboat, Dive, Small  Boat Journal, Daily Pilot Newspaper, and have won several International  Underwater Photographic Competitions.  I hope you enjoy the samples of my  photography on the pages that follow.
